“The Higgins
Family”

Lisa- Pard and Katie are the featured artists on the home page of
the MaineCountrymusic.com website for the month of June. They are a wonderfully gifted family whose love of each
other combined with their love of Country Music makes the top premium singing family in Maine.
Just read their bio and you will see what I mean. It should be noted the Lisa started
performing at a very early age and recently Sonny Bickford told me he played back up guitar for Lisa when she was
belt buckle high. I recently had the opportunity to share the stage with them and
was honored to be able to do so. The Higgins family can also be found on
Facebook.

My new friend and Lifetime member of the Maine Country Music Association, Dusty Brown recently informed me that
Ebb Lovely, a long time friend and Hall Of Famer had passed away. Ebb had entertained audiences for may years
singing country music in the region and will be sadly missed at Dust’s Jamborees next fall & winter. Dusty told
me that
he never in all the years he knew Ebb to ever him say anything negative or bad about a fellow musician. Believe me
this is very unusual considering the competitive nature of musicians.

Patricia Cray Passes Away Unexpectedly The Northern Chapter
of the MCMA suffered a great loss recently with
the unexpected passing of Pat Cray. Pat was a life long friend of country music
having served the MCMA in recent years as our Chaplin and sending cards and flowers to those who were sick and
otherwise confined. She attended as many music jams as she could and always had something upbeat and kind to say.
The country music Jam that was held on Friday May 20, was dedicated in her honor. The MCMA northern chapter sent a
monetary donation the Children’s Miracle Network in Pat’s memory. Judy McLellan will assume Pat’s duties
and
responsible will carry on the fine example that Pat set for us all.
